Mahmoud Ellithy I have substantial experience working on Maya, I have 10+ years of production experience, especially with technical parts like rigging, scripting, rendering, And dynamics. I have a vast knowledge of Maya API, python, and intermediate knowledge of C++ and PySide. Working as a CG supervisor in relatively small studios was an excellent opportunity to do more things simultaneously, like pipeline tools, lookDev, lighting, and scene optimization. This gives me excellent debugging skills and gives me more passion for learning all department workflows to hold up the projects with small resources. So switching to Framestore as Rigging TD was making scenes to me because it’s very technical and needs a good scripting and debugging skills. And I’m looking forward to being a CG Sup ones again. At Framestore, in my first year, I won the staff award, and after my first show which was Artemis Fowl, the management gives me 1k bones for my work, and she said that my work was “being key and your efforts as having gone above and beyond on the show.” I also joined the rig builder core team. This team is only a group of 4 people cross-site responsible for maintaining and enhancing the rig builder core level, data structure date registration, and the UI. I also joined the Facial Rig group, a group responsible for upgrading the face rig company-wide. I also did the rigging for a test to Disney’s Snow White; it was a mixture of cartoon and realistic rig. The main challenge was addling all the cartoony features like stretch and squash and curvy deformation on a semi life character. We received great feedback from the client, and the animators, especially Framestore animation HOD ”loved the rig,” I quoted his phrase. I have a solid understanding of linear algebra and matrices and a good knowledge of anatomy for both body and facial. I`m self-motivated, I’m working hard to push my knowledge boundaries, and I do not accept less than 100% success.
