Who You Needed Hi, I''m Helen. I got into podcasts in college after my first break-up. For me, podcasts have been a way to foster introspection. Listening to podcasts made me feel less alone in heartbreak, personal growth, and career development. As a first-generation Filipina-American, empath, and weirdo... I wanted a podcast that gave people hope. To take people out of a dark place. To show others that it''s okay to be a little different. Our difference makes us who we are. I hope "Who You Needed" provides you with the tools to live authentically.  I welcome purpose-driven guests and ask them, "how can we BE WHO WE NEEDED?"  With sprinkles of humor and introspection, I invite you to join me as I try to understand the human experience.  "Who You Needed" is streamed across the United States and in 15 countries around the world, featuring thought leaders in music, marketing, psychology, etc. Let’s Go :)!

Mr. Pop Culture | Exploring the World of Pop Culture Pop culture is everywhere. You know it when you come to the Internet, listen to music, watch television, app-gaming or go to a movie, concert, or stage show. You know the artists, the actors and actresses, sports personalities and the games they play. Today, anything with a buzz is deemed pop culture. The book definition says pop culture is a collection of thoughts, ideas, attitudes, perspectives, images (you name it) preferred by the mainstream population, which is a sort of common denominator. The most common pop culture categories are entertainment (movies, music, TV), sports, news (as in people/places in news), politics, fashion/clothes, and technology. Slang has also become popular in our culture as each year seems to have its own slang signature, especially with tweens and teens. Terms such as "going viral" are new pop culture – not only the term but the viral product itself. Each one of us has our own pop-culture menu. Look at your apps, your bookmarks, your songs playlist, TV shows, movies: what you 're saying on your favorite social networks. Smartphones today are the center of your pop culture. If you want to know more about pop culture, read on as we are going to give you its history and different definitions. History of Pop Culture It was in the 19th century when the term "popular culture" was coined. Traditionally, it was associated with poor education and with the lower classes, which is the opposite of the "official culture" and higher education of the upper classes. During the Victorian-era, Britain experienced social changes with the rise of the Industrial Revolution in the 18th and 19th centuries, which caused an increase in literacy rates. And with the growth of capitalism and industrialization, people started spending their money on entertainment, such as sports and the commercial idea of pubs. Reading also gained traction, and the Penny serials were published. These were cheap popular serial literature in the United Kingdom. Those were like the Victorian equivalent of video games. It was the first taste of mass-produced popular culture for the young in Britain. With the growing consumer culture and increased capacity for travel via the newly built railway that opened in 1825 in north-east England, a market for cheap popular literature was created with an ability to distribute on a large scale. With this, the first Penny serials were published in the 1830s due to the growing demand. Towards the end of the 19th century, the stress in the distinction from "official culture" became more pronounced. It is a usage that became established by the interbellum period or the period between wars. The meaning of popular culture began to be connected with those of mass culture, consumer culture, media culture, image culture, and culture for mass consumption from the end of World War II, following major cultural and social changes, which were brought by mass media innovations. The abbreviated form "pop" for popular, like in pop music, dates back from the late 1950s. Although not used in our lexicon back then, modern pop culture (as we know it) began with the baby boomer generation and "buying power." As boomers came of age with their disposable incomes – that influence led to the pop culture revolution. It began during the 1950s with rock n' roll, TV, Dick Clark and the hoola hoop, transistor radios, into the 1960s and beyond. The term "pop culture" became mainstream during the 1980s. Before this, we used "popular" to describe things such as top song playlists or "pop" as in art or "best" or "top" selling, as in books. Different Definitions of Pop Culture Based on the author of Cultural Theory and Popular Culture named John Storey, popular culture has different definitions. The quantifiable definition of culture has the problem that much "high culture", such as television dramatizations of Jane Austen, is also "popular." Aside from that, "pop culture" is also defined as the culture that is "leftover" when we have decided what high culture is. But many works overlap the boundaries, such as William Shakespeare, Leo Tolstoy, George Orwell, and Charles Dickens. The third definition of pop culture associates it with "mass culture" and ideas. This is seen as a commercial culture, which is mass-produced for mass consumption by mass media. If you take it from a Western European viewpoint, this can be compared to American culture. Pop culture can also be defined otherwise as an authentic culture of the people. However, this can be challenging because there are a lot of ways to define the "people." According to John Storey, popular culture emerged from the urbanization of the Industrial Revolution. For example, studies of Shakespeare locate much of the characteristic vitality of his drama in its participation in Renaissance popular culture. Other examples are contemporary practitioners like Dario Fo and John McGrath, who use popular culture in a sense that links to ancient folk traditions. Folk culture is at the opposite end of one spectrum from mass culture. As mentioned earlier, mass culture is mass-produced and mass-marketed on a large societal scale. Folk culture, on the other hand, is typically crafted individually, and it is produced and distributed on a local level. This can include folk art, folk music, folk crafts, and folklore. They usually originate from small, regional, or local groups of people, and are considered as representing only those small groups, and are propagating by word of mouth and not via mass media. Pop Culture Through the Decades Pop Culture is like a unifying bridge across time, which brings together generations of diverse backgrounds. Whether looking at the rock 'n' roll revolution of the 1960s or the thriving social networking websites of today, each period in America's cultural history develops its own exceptional take on the qualities that define our lives. Here's an overview of the pop culture from the 1950s to the 2010s: The 1950s Pop Culture The 1950s were a decade marked by the post-World War II boom. Pop Culture and Technology Pop culture played a crucial role in the advancement of technology in each decade. In fact, technology is becoming more and more important and prevalent in all aspects of our culture. Pop culture has inspired and continues to inspire technological innovation. It draws connections between interpretations of technologies from the past and their modern counterparts. With this, let us look into the technologies that became prevalent from the 1950s to the 2010s. Technology in the 1950s When it comes to technology, the 1950s was a crucial period, especially in the world of radio and television. It has brought about the advancement in the viewing and listening experience of people at home. This decade was a breakthrough year for television. It was this time when the first commercially available color TV was introduced. Aside from that, the first commercially available computer in the world was also presented in the 1950s. In the music industry, the 45rpm vinyl records became as common as 78rpm records. In fact, it became popular due to its compact size and durability. The 33rpm vinyl record also became popular, and it replaced the 78rpm as the most common vinyl record size in the world. Aside from these, many other innovations were introduced in the 1950s, such as the first accurate atomic clock, the videotape, stereo vinyl records, and more. To know more about the technology in the 1950s, you can read our 1950s Technology News In Review. Technology in the 1960s The 1960s was also a great decade for television, as there were also many enhancements done to make the experience of watching TV shows at home better. Even though this decade was dominated by television, there were also improvements done to the radio industry. During the 1960s, the television served as the gateway for Americans to know the presidential election candidates, which were Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy. Their debates were broadcasted, which helped the people decide who they'll vote to be the next US president. It was also in the 60s when the push-button telephone was invented and introduced by the Bell System. This replaced rotary phonesand was faster and easier to use. The first compact cassette was also released in this decade. Radios with transistors also became more popular in this decade. Their durability helped the radio industry have a surge in listeners in the same era where the British Invasion was at the peak of its popularity. FM radio was also becoming the number one choice of listeners who were looking into listening to classical music. To know more about the technologies introduced in the 1960s, read our 1960s Technology News In Review. Technology in the 1970s The 1970s was a prime period for television because a lot of manufacturers tried to push the boundaries of color TV to produce better reception and clearer resolution. But aside from television, computers also had a significant advancement in this decade. It is because of the introduction to the Xerox PARC, which was the first computer that was designed to support an operating system or OS based on a graphical user interface. This computer would later become the inspiration behind some of the most iconic computers in the history of technology. It was also in this same decade when Microsoft was formed by Bill Gates and researcher Paul Allen. Another important creation in the 1970s was the Universal Product Code or UPC. It allowed systematic pricing and tracking for products in grocery stores and other establishments. The first product to be UPC scanned was a pack of Wrigley's chewing gum in Ohio. If you're craving to know more about the technologies invented and introduced in the 1970s, then you should read our 1970s Technology News In Review. Technology in the 1980s The 1980s, when it comes to technology, has been a great decade for the computer and the music industry. Both of these fields have benefitted from the technological advancements brought by engineers and scientists who wanted to make life more convenient. It was in the 80s when Bill Gates agreed to provide the operating system for IBM's personal computer. That operating system was the PC DOS 1.0, which was modified to be compatible with the IBM Personal Computer. Aside from that, this decade was also important for the creation of the internet. Tim Berners-Lee, a previous independent contractor at CERN, started experimenting on improving the communication between researchers from different places. His experimentation led to ENQUIRE, which was a software project that serves as the predecessor for the World Wide Web. Aside from these, many other developments for the computer were introduced in the 1980s. Some of these include the creation of Apple computers, Macintosh personal computer, and the introduction of the Power Windows by Microsoft. To know more about these, you can read our 1980s Technology News In Review. Technology in the 1990s The 1990s has been a turning point in the computer industry. This decade brought major technological advancements to the personal computer. Aside from that, it also showed how Microsoft became a powerhouse in the world of software. At the start of the decade, Adobe Inc. released the Adobe Photoshop 1.0 software. It was a graphics editor programmed by Thomas Knoll. The third iteration of the Windows OS, Windows 3.0, was also released by Microsoft in the 1990s, together with a new presentation program called Microsoft PowerPoint, bundled with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. The World Wide Web was also formed after Tim Berners-Lee utilized and tweaked the ENQUIRE system. This was considered to be the first web browser. The first Pentium chip was also released in this decade by the Inter Corporation. It would eventually include some of their best-selling microprocessors. In 1994, Amazon was launched by Jeff Bezos, and would eventually become one of the biggest companies in the world. In the same year, Sony released its first home video game console, the PlayStation, first in Japan, and in the US after a year. There are many other wonderful technological creations that were introduced in the 1990s. If you are curious about them, read our 1990s Technology News In Review. Technology in the 2000s When it comes to technology, the 2000s was a groundbreaking decade. It was the time where certain inventions have revolutionized the different sectors of technology, such as web browsing, gaming, and as well as mobile communications. Before the year 2000 came, people were afraid of the Y2K Problem. This was a proposed event wherein computers may not be able to handle the change from 1999 to 2000 because of an error in the algorithm. With this, people believed there would be a collapse in the economy as most companies and agencies rely on computers. Fortunately, a lot of organizations were able to upgrade their computer systems, which eliminated the threat. This decade was great for gaming because Sony released the PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation 3, while Microsoft launched the Xbox and the Xbox 360. People also had a new way to listen to music when Apple Inc. successfully launched iTunes, which was a media player and library. After that, Apple also released the first-generation iPod. During these times, Google was becoming a big company, but Yahoo was still at the top as the number one search engine in the world. There are also media services providers who were experiencing a rise in profits, and one of those is Netflix. It was also in the 2000s when YouTube was established. There are many other innovations that were introduced in the 2000s. If you want to know more about them, read our 2000s Technology News In Review. Technology in the 2010s The 2010s decade was not as impactful as the previous decades when it comes to technology, but there were still a few breakthroughs that have been introduced. At the start of the decade, Apple was already selling over 250 million Apple iPods. Google, on the other hand, started expanding its business when they announced that they'd be selling their own mobile phones. Social media has been prevalent in the 2010s, and Facebook has surpassed Google when it comes to website visits per year. But Facebook eventually found its competitors when Instagram and Pinterest were launched in the same year. In the world of mobile phones, the 4G broadband cellular network became popular. Cloud services were also becoming popular in 2011. With this, Apple released its own Cloud service called iCloud. But it was also in the same year when Apple's co-founder, Steve Jobs, passed away. In the gaming industry, Sony released the PlayStation 4 in 2013and eventually became the second best-selling video game console of all time next to PlayStation 2. There are many other developments in technology that have been done in the 2010s, aside from what we've mentioned here. To know more about them, read our 2010s Technology News In Review. Earth Lover's Life | Collected Writings During this Covid-19 pandemic, there are many more unknowns than knowns. People all over the globe are working to find solutions but are hampered by lack of data because this virus is so new to humans. So the logical thing to do while waiting for science to catch up, is to look at existing remedies that help boost your immune system. That is why health authorities are telling us to wash our hands (soap and water disable the outer covering of the virus), not touch our faces (the threat is that the virus may infect the lungs) and physically distance from other people (the virus is airborne and may be transmitted by people who have no symptoms). This article will look at existing data and possible remedies, keeping in mind that these things may change as more data and solutions become available. Animals Scientists believe the virus originated in bats and then either jumped onto humans or travelled through an intermediary animal in the environment of the wildlife market in Wuhan, China. In spite of the panic that ensued, companion pets such as cats and dogs are not able to transmit Covid-19 to humans according to the American Veterinary Medical Association, Centers for Disease Control, and the US Department of Agriculture as quoted by Nathan Winograd. Factory farm opponents note that other viruses have jumped to humans from farmed animals and the massive use of antibiotics in farmed animals encourages antimicrobial resistance. Wildlife advocates say healthy wildlife ecosystems "can restrain" pathogens. However, a tiger in the Bronx zoo testing positive has led to concerns that humans can transmit Covid-19 to animals. The Zoological Pathology Program at the University of Illinois Veterinary School makes the point that tigers are not the same genus as domestic cats and considers human to pet transmission unlikely though some vets suggest extra caution and not snuggling with your pets if you are ill. Shelters have been happily surprised by the widespread fostering and adoption of shelter animals during this time as companion animals help ease the stress of quarantine. So it is important to not undermine this with baseless rumours of human-animal transmission. Plots and Theories Differences in data collection, Covid-19 testing methods and strategies have made comparisons of data across countries difficult. Case in point is the new edict of the US Centers of Disease Control to list cause of death as Covid-19 even if only presumed. But widespread distrust of government, big business and individuals have filled the gap. Some of the theories are: 1) The virus was deliberately invented and loosed; 2) The pandemic is an excuse to take away personal liberties; 3) The pandemic is a plot to smear Donald Trump before the US election; 4) The pandemic is a plot by Bill Gates and the pharmaceutical companies he invested in to create a depopulation vaccine; 5) and my own observation in British Columbia, that pipeline layers allowed to continue working through Indigenous territory (with those Indigenous having extra health concerns and poor living conditions) have a likelihood of causing genocide which would reduce future opposition to the invasion of extractive industries. I'm not saying yay or nay to any of these. You decide. Natural Remedies This is the part where I say I am merely an animal rescuer, not a doctor nor veterinarian. Neither the US FDA nor Health Canada have evaluated the following statements. However, years of exploring natural remedies for myself and my animals, have shown me that there are many useful remedies that could also be tried with Covid-19. For the sake of transparency, I'll also point out here, that I am an affiliate marketer for some frequency remedies. Herbs Many people are familiar antiviral herbs and mushrooms. You will notice many are used in food preparation as spices. Your immune system is based in your gut, so food becomes medicinal. Except when you have allergies to certain foods. Then you need to remove those allergens from your diet. In my case, I am allergic to milk products. Milk products in general produce mucus and are less healthy than the dairy industry would like you to believe. Some people are lactose-intolerant and the milk will give tummy aches or indigestion. I found I am allergic to a milk protein called casein (in both cow and goat milk) which makes me congested and sniffly. For some unknown reason, some "fake cheese" or "dairy alternatives" contain casein. So you need to check product labels when substituting foods to avoid allergic reaction. Vitamins & Supplements Vitamins and supplements can also support your immune system. Vitamin C is well-known for boosting immunity and intravenous vitamin C (as sodium ascorbate) is how Wuhan, China is now treating Covid-19. Some naturopaths and veterinarians in North America administer intravenous vitamin C but with all the clinic closures now, that treatment may be hard to find. Zinc is also well known for reducing respiratory symptoms. Negative Ions Negative ion generators are rarely considered in this context but may help with stress during seclusion and possibly with disabling viruses. The negative ions combine with particulate matter in the air (such as dust, mold spores, pet dander, bacteria and viruses) giving it a negative charge so falls out of the air, to be cleaned up by your vacuuming or dusting. As such, they are a type of air purifier. Negative ion generators produce negative ions by adding an electron to an air molecule thus giving it a negative charge. You may have experienced negative ions near moving water: a waterfall, a storm, or even in your shower. There are many types of negative ion generators on the market but you need to research which ones are healthier. Some are said to use radioactive materials and some also generate ozone which above certain levels is unhealthy for you and can be very unhealthy for your pets. When my old ionizer wore out, I replaced it with an air purifier when I noticed my cats coughing. That helped somewhat but after the purifier wore out, I recently replaced it with a very small and inexpensive negative ion generator. I confirmed with the manufacturer that it does not generate ozone, and it works via the small needles said to not require radioactive materials. I notice a positive mood effect on myself and the animals as well as less coughing and sneezing. Homeopathy Homeopathic remedies are pooh-poohed by some because they work on completely different principles than accepted western medicine. However they are a main go-to for me and my animals because I've seen them work. You can purchase them in health food stores and some (usually compounding) pharmacies. You avoid touching them with your fingers. Speaking with a homeopathically -- educated friend, we agreed both of us would reach for aconitum napellus or gelsemium sempervirens. These can also be given to animals. Aconitum is taken at the very first symptoms of feeling ill. Once while working overnight as a hotel desk clerk, I gave one pill to the security guard when he started his rounds. He had just started to sniffle. Next night he wanted to know what I gave him because he said the symptoms were gone when he got home. Gelsemium is taken for general flu-like symptoms (and also for "kitty flu"). Frequencies My other main go-to, as many people know, is frequencies. Frequency developers have invested their energies in specific frequencies to fight Covid-19. A YouTube search for covid-19 frequencies will show the efforts of many different developers. Bear in mind that you require headphones if you are listening to binaural beat frequencies. This is because they work by supplying a slightly different tone to each ear thus prompting your brain to supply a third tone between the first two. Spooky2 is a manufacturer of small Rife frequency machines and offers a silent Covid-19 frequency here. CoronaFrequencies.com offers a download here. Eric Thompson of Subtle Energy Sciences has produced free audio and image-encoded Covid-19 frequencies, downloadable here. SES also has audio and image frequencies called Virtual Oxygen, which I found very helpful a couple years ago when my area was getting air quality warnings due to drifting smoke from the wildfires. Sharry Edwards, who analyzes frequencies in your voice, believes from her research (though I don't agree with all of her methods and conclusions) that glutathione is helpful against the virus. Dietary glutathione is poorly absorbed but SES provides an energy app of glutathione. SES also provides energy apps for a number of herbs that may be helpful including curcumin and ashwagandha. What You Personally Can Do All by Yourself These other items may also prove helpful. That is, keeping the humidity of your environment at a comfortable level and learning this breathing technique. It is also helpful to control your stress level and the body chemicals generated by stress. Check out the GreenMed database for other ways to fight Covid-19.

ThrushCrusader | Leading the crusade to cure your thrush! Leading the crusade to your thrush cure today! Congratulations! You've made it to the Thrush Crusader – The #1 Internet destination where all of your vaginal Thrush, Candida and Yeast Infection questions are answered! Thrush can be an embarrassing ailment, and the symptoms can come at the least opportune times. An itchy va-jay-jay (yes…that IS a word!) during meetings can leave you squirming in your seat, or that cottage-cheese like discharge can turn your date night from "hot" to "not". Never fear! If you're suffering from thrush (or think you could be), you've come to the right place! Here you'll find everything you need to know about how to ditch that pesky thrush infection, including prevention, treatment options and cures! Thrush Treatment Comparison Table (Keep reading below this table for more great info!) Err.. so what exactly is thrush? In laymans terms, thrush is an irritation of the vagina and the area around the vulva. It is also known as a "Yeast Infection" and "Candida Albicans", Basically, there's a heap of good bacteria and a small number of yeast cells in a healthy vagina. Usually, the good bacteria keeps the yeast in check and under control – but every now and again there's an overgrowth of an opportunistic yeast-like fungi called Candida Albicans, which can lead to an infection in your pink bits. We call this infection "Thrush", or a "Yeast Infection". These infections are pretty common – and almost every woman experiences it at least once in their life. It can be bothersome, but it is rarely serious and treated easily! Read on to find out how! Symptoms of thrush (aka Yeast Infection, Candida Albicans) Ewww… Why is there cottage cheese in my undies?! One of the most common symptoms of vaginal thrush is a discharge that can look similar to cottage cheese. It doesn't have much of an odour like some other vaginal infections, so if you're worried it could be something more serious, remember - "If it don't smell, you're doin' well!". Other symptoms of thrush include Pain when peeing (usually a burning sensation similar to a UTI) Pain when having sex (noooo!). Redness and swelling of the vagina and around the vulva, causing an itch (which is almost never appropriate to scratch in public!). A general soreness in your Wonder Down Under. You might only be experiencing a few of these symptoms, and depending on your body, the symptoms of thrush can be either mild or severe. Either way, help is on the way! Read on for how to treat thrush and yeast infections! But I'm a good person… Why did I get thrush!? So you helped an old lady cross the road and gave up your seat for a pregnant lady. Unfortunately thrush doesn't care about how nice you are! All men thrush cares about is how healthy you and you vagina is, and if you give it an inch and it will take a mile! Causes of thrush or yeast infections can happen for a number of reasons, including: When your period is fast approaching (usually a week before you're due). During this time, your pH levels fluctuate, disrupting the perfect balance of bacteria and yeast. Remember how thrush is a yeast infection caused by Candida Albicans? Well leading up to your period, Candida Albicans is like a kid in a candy store of perfect fungus breeding conditions! When using antibiotics or steroids – these make the immune system slightly weaker, leaving you more susceptible to an overgrowth of a Candida Albicans infection. If you suffer from Diabetes, MS or have a weakened immune system If you're pregnant (you'd think your body would give you a break, right? Wrong! Thrush just looooves to pop up while you're preggers!) If your body has a tendency to suffer from similar vulval skin conditions. If you're overly stressed and not sleeping – Just as this affects your overall health, bouts of stress and strain on the body can increase the likelihood and frequency of thrush. So chill out, girl, you're going to give yourself a thrush attack! If you've been eating too many Krispy Kreme donuts. Ok, maybe Krispy Kreme isn't the culprit here – but your poor food eating habits could be! Diets with extreme amounts of sugary foods can affect your overall health and directly impact the health of your vagina. So put that donut back and pick up that carrot stick! All in all, thrush and Yeast Infections can happen to anyone at any time. In fact, over 75% of women experience thrush at least once in their life, and 50% of those women have it 2 or more times! So get back down off that ledge, and read on for how to fix it, sister! Less talk and more cures! How do I flush the thrush? Since thrush and yeast infections are ultimately a fungal infection of your hooch, you'll need some antifungal medicines to help cure thrush and yeast infections. These medicines come as creams, tablets, or ointments and suppositories that are inserted into your vagina. Most of these can be bought over the counter at a drug store, grocery store, or even online. Check out our comparison table of some of the most effective medication to make an educated decision as to what will work best for you! There are also some natural thrush and yeast infection remedies that will deliver you the quick and invasive-free cure you're after. Check out our top 10 natural remedies here! When NOT to self prescribe thrush and yeast infection medicine. Remember, thrush and yeast infections can be treated easily and efficiently, but if you are pregnant, have never been diagnosed with a yeast infection, or keep getting thrush and yeast infections, it's advisable to see your doctor before you treat yourself. If you're unfamiliar with the symptoms of thrush, you could mistakenly be trying to treat an STI with anti-fungal medication. Always see your doctor if unsure, and if using over-the-counter medication, remember to follow the instructions TO THE TEE! If I have thrush or a yeast infection, can my partner catch it from me? First things first, thrush and yeast infections are not categorised as sexually transmitted infections (STI's). That's a whole other kettle of fish. However, it is can be spread to sexual partners. Sharing is caring, right? Hmm.. Maybe not in this case! About 12-15% of men can get an itchy rash on their Johnson if they have unprotected sex with a woman who has thrush. This is especially so for men who haven't been circumcised. Because thrush and yeast infections are fungal skin infections, lesbians can also be at risk of spreading their yeast infections to their partner. If your partner has any symptoms, they should also be tested and treated to prevent reinfecting you, even if you have already treated your infection. I know there's safetly in numbers, but I don't think your partner will see it that way! Ok.. Now that I know how to treat thrush, how can I prevent it in future? Apart from the main causes of thrush and yeast infections mentioned above, you can proactively reduce your risk of getting thrush by: Ignore all the pro-douche advice you've received. Douching is b.a.d for your va-jay-jay. Studies show that this natural "remedy" can actually have adverse outcomes that actually increase your risk of vaginal infections in future! Check out the study here if you don't believe us! Avoid scented soaps and hygiene products. Try to use soap substitutes instead, and clean the area no more than once per day. Change your sanitary pads and tampons regularly during your period. It's a no brainer, right? Well you'd be surprised. Avoid synthetic fibre underwear and tight underwear. This makes your hoo-haa warm and moist – perfect conditions for the Candida fungus to grow! Wear cotton underwear pantyhose with a cotton crotch. This will keep your bits nice and dry and less likely to succumb to a Candida fungus overgrowth. Change out of wet clothes, swimwear and exercise gear as soon as possible. Aside from it preventing thrush, you'll stop getting weird looks from people about your sweaty, wet smell. I think I have thrush... But it's not "down there". Is there such a thing as Oral Thrush? Ahhh, so you think you have Oral Thrush? Yes, it's a thing, and yes, it's easily treatable. Oral thrush is also the by-product of an overload of Candida fungus in your mouth. For more info on how to treat vaginal thrush's not so intimate cousin, Oral Thrush, click here! Help! I'm not sure if it's thrush and don't want to go to the doctor! I know how you feel! The last think ANY gal wants is to spread eagle on their doc's chair while they have a little peek at your Lady V. Typically, if you haven't ever had thrush before and are unsure what is ailing your vajizzle, it's probably best for you to visit your doc to get it diagnosed. After all, some of the symptoms for thrush are similar to some sexually transmitted diseases like chlamydia and gonorrhoea. Don't be shy though – doctors have seen it all before and will be easily able to diagnose your condition through a quick pelvic exam. You should really consider getting a professional diagnosis from a doctor if: You're under 16 or over 60 years old. Have a bun in the oven. Have symptoms that differ from a previous bout of thrush. For example, if you've had thrush before, but are experiencing new and uncomfortable ulcers or blisters near your vagina, or have a smelly discharge etc, then a trip to the doc's is.. well. just what the doctor ordered. Have abnormal vaginal bleeding. Have abdominal (lower tummy) pains. Have had bad reactions to previous anti thrush or yeast infection medication or treatments. Have had reoccurring thrush more than twice in 6 months. You or your partner has had an STI (it might be a reoccurrance of the STI rather than a case of thrush). Ok.. Enough's enough! What are all these weird names you're giving my vagina? You'll soon realise on your quest to cure your thrush that there are as many treatments as there are nicknames for your special friend at the bottom end. We Gave A Shot by Peak Design - Field Notes After two years of connecting photographers and filmmakers with environmental organizations, we've decided to retire Give a Shot. Give a Shot (giveashot.org) launched in 2017 after we spoke with countless creatives wanting to support grassroots efforts but not having a clear path for getting involved. We developed the match-making platform to help creatives find nonprofits in need of content.A powerful film or photograph changes the lens through which we view the world — fostering empathy, reordering priorities, and fueling an urgency to act. Sometimes from inspiration, sometimes from outrage. As a company that designs products for creatives and outdoors enthusiasts, conservation filmmaking and photography is a natural crossroads. At Peak Design, we are still firmly committed to supporting this work and its creators, but have decided that providing strategic support to specific projects will be more impactful than the current iteration of Give a Shot.To be matter of fact, the main problem we faced with Give a Shot was a surprising one. Instead of not having enough volunteers, we actually struggled in getting nonprofit organizations to submit new projects. Orgs were simply unaware the tool existed or didn't know how to best utilize it. We know strong program management and outreach could remedy this but decided that our resources would be better spent identifying specific environmental campaigns in need of visual support and then sponsoring that creation directly. This conclusion was largely drawn from the success we had in providing a small group of creatives with grants to take on some bigger projects. The platform introduced us to incredible filmmakers and photographers with whom we still work. We posted about our friends Colin Arisman and Connor Gallagher's work for the Southeast Alaska Conservation Council (their film, Irreparable Harm, below) and Joel Caldwell's work for the California Wilderness Coalition. While we are closing up shop as we know it, Give a Shot has given us invaluable insight into the importance of connecting talented creatives with issues that need to be seen and heard.

We are manufacturers of quality Bob Beck instruments including, Bob Beck Magnetic Pulser, Beck Zapper, Colloidal Silver Generator, Water Ozone Generator , Bob Beck Protocol Packages, and our unique BMC-03 3 in 1 MultiCell. All instruments closely follow the research of Dr. Bob Beck. Australian made, perfect for researching the Bob Beck Protocol or use individually. Since 2007. About the Inventor. A Professor at UCLA in 1992 Dr. Robert C. Beck was a highly respected research physicist. Dr. Beck retired from his work with government contracts and as a university lecturer. Dr Beck was known for his leading-edge designs in measuring subtle magnetic fields and extremely low frequency fields. Things changed when he read about a research project at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. In March, 1991 Science News magazine gave a brief report that "Zapping the AIDS virus with low-voltage electric current co almost eliminate its ability to infect human white blood cells cultured in the laboratory ..." Doctors William Lyman and Steven Kaali from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City also presented their research at a symposium. Dr. Bob Beck was fascinated with what he read but found only closed doors when he tried to obtain further information. He found the paper Doctors William Lyman and Steven Kaali presented had been deleted from the symposium report. In 1993, after a US patent was filed showing how microcurrents would neutralize pathogens such as viruses and bacteria, he was finally able to get the information he was looking for. The patent was based on using a medical procedure to remove blood from the body in order to treat it with microcurrents of electricity. He later found this research was a rediscovery as many patents had been filed over the years showing the efficacy of electricity for health. Dr. Beck then applied his genius and invented a method to pass the necessary microcurrents into blood while it still flowed undisturbed in the body by applying two electrodes on top of arteries to the wrist or ankle.
